About The Position

Visiting Angels is seeking compassionate and dependable caregivers to help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and provide companionship, emotional support, and peace of mind to clients and their families. The role is open to both experienced caregivers and individuals new to caregiving; training, support, and resources are provided. Available shifts are 4, 8, or 12 hours, with flexible scheduling. Caregivers receive paid orientation, hands-on training, shadow shifts, a six-week mentor program for new caregivers, and ongoing education and career development opportunities. Supportive office staff are available 24/7.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must pass background checks and drug screening.
Be compassionate, reliable, and trustworthy.
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting or incontinence care.
Provide mobility assistance and help with transfers.
Give medication reminders.
Transport clients to appointments and run errands.
Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
