About The Position

Amada Senior Care is hiring part-time caregivers in Freeport, Texas, who are willing to travel to surrounding areas within a 20-mile radius. Caregivers provide non-medical, in-home assistance to seniors and veterans, helping them maintain independence, comfort, safety, and quality of life. The position includes flexible scheduling, with weekend and overnight shifts available, and in-office orientation.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of caregiving experience.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening.
• Willingness to work with both male and female clients.
• Ability and willingness to travel within a 20-mile radius of Freeport, Texas.
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude, with a genuine desire to help others.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience using a Hoyer lift and gait belt.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming, while preserving clients’ dignity.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist clients with safe mobility, errands, and appointments.
• Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
• Monitor clients’ well-being and report changes in their condition.
• Encourage clients to participate in daily activities and remain as independent as possible.
