Caregivers for Clients with Developmental Disabilities
About The Position
Cambrian Homecare, LLC is seeking caregivers with the passion to provide one-on-one care to individuals with developmental disabilities. We offer flexible scheduling, weekly pay, a supportive office team available 24/7, employee recognition, and a referral bonus. Our caregivers provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors, to relieve family members from daily living activities. This includes implementing behavior management strategies, engaging with the client, recognizing and responding to behavioral patterns, providing crisis intervention, and maintaining a positive relationship with the client and family.
Requirements
- 18+ years old
- Ability to pass a background check, live scan, and reference check
- Current TB test, Physical, CPR and First Aid certification (valid within 30 days of hire)
Responsibilities
- Provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors, to relieve family members from daily living activities.
- Implement behavior management strategies including responding to physically aggressive behavior, as trained.
- Engage with the client through activities that they enjoy.
- Recognize and respond to behavioral patterns to anticipate and prevent triggers for behaviors.
- Provide crisis intervention with the client’s safety in mind.
- Maintain a positive relationship with the client and family.
