About The Position
Guardian Angel Senior Services is hiring certified and non-certified caregivers to support seniors in their homes in Plymouth and Cape Cod communities. Caregivers travel to clients throughout the listed service areas and help them live safely and comfortably at home. The role is presented as suitable for flexible weekend work or a second job, with the ability to create a flexible schedule. The position involves household assistance, errands, transportation, medication reminders or assistance, meal planning and preparation, personal care, companionship, and responding to or reporting emergencies and unusual changes. The company describes a supportive team environment and offers training and professional development. High school diploma is preferred, and reliable transportation and ability to travel in the service area are required.
Requirements
- Be compassionate, respectful, and dependable.
- Communicate clearly in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Have strong time-management and interpersonal skills.
- Commit to health and safety standards.
- Have reliable transportation and the ability to travel within Falmouth and nearby Cape Cod towns.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma preferred.
- Certified caregiver status is welcomed; non-certified caregivers are also wanted.
Responsibilities
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe environment.
- Run errands, such as grocery shopping.
- Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments.
- Remind or assist clients with medication.
- Plan and prepare meals, with or without client involvement.
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, and daily living needs.
- Offer companionship through conversation and engagement.
- Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
- Report unusual changes or incidents.
