About The Position
Home Instead is seeking caring and compassionate CAREGivers to help enhance the lives of aging adults in the community. The role provides non-medical services that help adults remain in their homes and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care, and compassion. Starting wage is $17–$18 per hour. All shifts are available in Mitchell and surrounding communities, with immediate shifts available.
Requirements
- No previous experience is necessary; skills training is provided by Home Instead.
- Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect.
- Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.
- Complete a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and conversation.
- Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Provide medication and appointment reminders.
- Assist clients with grooming and bathing.
- Assist clients with toileting and incontinence issues.
- Provide Alzheimer’s care.
