About The Position
Home care needed for an older individual living with dementia, who also has a dog named Midnight. The primary role is ensuring seniors are socially engaged, having fun with movement, cognitively challenged, and finding joy during their day. This position involves both home care duties and potential assistance with adult day center operations. The schedule is part-time, afternoons and evenings, Monday through Friday. The pay is $16.50 per hour plus additional for pet care.
Requirements
- Love dogs.
- Possess a valid GA State Driver’s License with a clean record.
- Possess a valid TB Clearance.
- Willingness to drive.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of Caregiving Experience or CNA, HHA, PCA, DSP.
- 1 year of Senior Care / Activities Experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide supportive assistance and supervision in the home, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
- Ensure the client's dog, Midnight, is well-cared for.
- Lead vibrant activities developed by the director at the Day Care Center.
- Serve meals, play games, engage in art and music, and converse with seniors.
- Transport seniors to and from the Day Care Center using company vehicles.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living.
- Perform other duties necessary in Day Center operations, including light housekeeping.
