About The Position
St. Paul Elder Services is hiring a Caregiver to provide assistance and support to tenants. The role includes helping with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as housekeeping, personal laundry, bathing, toileting, dressing and undressing, oral care, skin care, and hair care, along with other needs identified in each tenant’s service plan. Caregivers support tenants’ mobility and safety, respond to call signals, assist with medication administration, monitor tenants’ well-being, conduct scheduled rounds, escort tenants to activities and services, and complete required documentation. Openings are available for PM and NOC shifts at the Villa and Manor memory care locations, as well as casual shifts. Starting wages are $15.75–$19.75 per hour, with shift premiums of $2.00 per hour for PMs and $1.50 per hour for NOCs. Responsibilities
- Assist tenants with ADLs, including housekeeping, personal laundry, bathing, toileting, dressing, undressing, oral care, skin care, and hair care, as well as other needs on the tenant service plan.
- Support tenants with ambulation, positioning, and range of motion; monitor ambulation and transfer techniques for appropriateness and safety.
- Assist tenants with phone calls and hearing or vision adaptive devices.
- Report changes in tenants’ physical or cognitive/emotional status to the Building Manager and/or Executive Director of Community Living Services in a timely manner.
- Respond to tenant call signals in a timely manner and provide assistance as needed.
- Assist with safe medication administration, monitor medication supplies, and document medication administration accurately and on time according to procedure.
- Conduct room checks and perform rounds according to the assigned schedule.
- Escort tenants to activities, the dining area, the beauty shop, and other locations as needed.
- Complete assigned documentation accurately using approved abbreviations and descriptive terms.
