About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate caregiver for a high-level case in Bloomfield Hills. This role involves providing direct care to clients with specific needs, including Hoyer lift and PEG tube assistance, and wheelchair support. Consistency and reliability are critical for this position. The caregiver will also be responsible for driving the client's transportation van.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Physically able to lift 25 lbs., bend, kneel, and walk throughout shift
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and registration
- Reliable mobile phone for scheduling and communication
- Must pass a background check
- Current TB test (can be completed after interview)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Hoyer lift, PEG tube, and wheelchair assistance
Responsibilities
- Companionship and emotional support
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Dementia/Alzheimer’s care
- Personal care: bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene
- Safe transfers using gait belts and Hoyer lifts
- Transportation to outings, errands, and appointments
- Promoting safety, dignity, and comfort at all times
- Driving client’s transportation van
