About The Position

TheKey is seeking a Caregiver Receptionist for their Palo Alto, CA location. This hybrid role combines front-line receptionist duties with on-call caregiver responsibilities. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, manage administrative tasks using Google Workspace and Wellsky software, and assist with new employee orientations. As an on-call caregiver, you will support clients on weekends, covering last-minute needs and emergencies. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience
  • At least 18 years of age
  • HCA Registration with the State of California (assistance provided upon hire)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Access to a fully insured personal vehicle
  • TB Clearance or Chest X-Ray
  • Must have reliable transportation and availability for the on-call caregiver component in the primary schedule.
  • Proficient with Google Suite tools and able to quickly learn agency software (Wellsky).

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced receptionist or administrative professional who is also a Caregiver (or willing and able to learn).
  • Hoyer lift and Hospice experience is a plus
  • Strong multitasker with excellent verbal and written communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, compassionate, and reliable with a customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the front-line receptionist, providing exceptional customer service to clients, caregivers, applicants, and team members via phone, email, G-chat, and in-person walk-ins.
  • Act as a hybrid role combining administrative receptionist duties during the week with On-Call Caregiver support on weekends to cover last-minute call-offs, emergencies, and client needs.
  • Manage incoming calls, accurately document notes, and route information to the appropriate Caregiver Manager, Recruiter, or Client Success team member using Google Workspace, G-Chat, Zoom, and Wellsky software.
  • Assist with new employee orientations, welcome new caregivers, and help prepare materials for training sessions.
  • Provide friendly, professional support to walk-in visitors, applicants, and current clients.
  • Perform full personal care duties including ADLs (activities for daily living), companionship, physical transfers, and driving as an on-call caregiver.
