This role involves providing direct support and assistance to individuals in accordance with their service or program plans. Responsibilities include aiding with socialization, behavioral development, personal care, housekeeping, recreational activities, transportation, community orientation, shopping, financial management, and other daily living activities. The position also requires accurate documentation of progress and activities, maintaining confidentiality, and completing billing documentation. The caregiver will assist with money management, maintain professional relationships with individuals and their families, report any instances of alleged abuse or neglect, and respect the rights of individuals served. Healthcare responsibilities include potentially accompanying individuals to medical appointments, administering and documenting medications and treatments if assigned, monitoring individual health, and preparing meals according to planned menus and special dietary needs. Maintenance duties involve transporting individuals, driving safely, performing housekeeping tasks, and reporting any hazards or equipment requiring repair. The role also includes performing other related duties as required, and may involve using a personal cell phone for business purposes with a provided stipend.
