Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Knowledgeable and adhere to a resident's service plans.
Maintains residents' dignity by providing privacy and confidentiality.
Effectively engage and communicate with elderly individuals.
Exhibit patience, tact, and willingness to handle challenging situations.
Foster positivity and actively engage in daily problem-solving.
Ability to accurately document activities of daily living.
Compassionate bedside manner and empathy toward residents.
Heimlich Maneuver training within the first 120 days.
Understanding of and commitment to residents rights and dignity.
First aid certification and Food handler's card within first 120 days of employment.
Criminal background check is required for new hires.
Fingerprints may be required as part of the check.

Responsibilities

Assisting with hygiene and general care of residents' skin, nails, hair, eyes, ears, mouth, and face.
Helping residents perform activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, bathing, toileting, and grooming.
Responding promptly to call lights to maintain resident comfort.
Monitoring health status and documenting vital signs, fluid, and nutritional intake.
Supporting mobility and positioning, ensuring safety devices are used effectively.
Encouraging resident participation in activities.
Creating delicious meals.
Performing general housekeeping tasks to keep their environment cheerful and inviting.
