Night Shift Caregiver/Med Aide
About The Position
Elders Inn is seeking a full-time Personal Care Attendant (PCA) and Med Aide for the overnight shift (10:30pm-7:00am). This role involves assisting residents with personal hygiene, daily living tasks, monitoring their status, and tidying their living spaces. Med Aides also assist with medication management. Some shifts will be as a caregiver ($20/hour) and some as a med aide ($22/hour). On-call/PRN may also be available. Elders Inn is a licensed 52-suite assisted living community focused on enabling residents to live as independently as possible, with accessible amenities and a pet-friendly environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work patiently with cognitively impaired individuals
- Ability to follow written and oral directions
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift 150 pounds
- Current COVID-19 vaccination
- Routine COVID tests
- Physical TB test
- Fingerprint clearance from the FBI and Dept of Justice
Responsibilities
- Help residents with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and other daily living tasks
- Respond to resident needs promptly while maintaining resident privacy and personal dignity
- Monitor resident activity and functional status
- Assist with apartment tidying to ensure safety and comfort
- Assisting with medication management
