About The Position

This position provides personal care and/or home management tasks to clients requesting and eligible for Caregiver services, under the direction of the RN. Practice within the scope of training, license, certification, or registration, where applicable, and as required by law and regulation. Performs tasks as delegated and directed by the registered nurse. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living and/or Instrumental Activities of Daily Living, including but not limited to: Assisting with ambulation, transfers, or exercises, Assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming, Assisting with feeding, Assisting with toileting, and incontinence care, Housekeeping, Meal preparation, Safe transportation, Medication reminders, Pet care, Maintain general order, safety, and cleanliness of Client area. Communicate any changes in Client condition or occurrences to registered nurse. Maintain chart documentation of care provided in accordance with the written plan of care. Practice safety and infection control methods. Demonstrate proper transfer and lift techniques using good body mechanic techniques. Maintain confidentiality & privacy of any PHI per HIPAA requirements. Exhibit competency in the observance of Universal Precautions by: Knowing standard precautions, Washing hands before and after patient care, Wearing gloves and other PPE as required.

Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned by registered nurse, Office Manager, or Director.
