Caregiver / HHA | Personal Care | Flexible AM & PM Shifts | Southwest Cuyahoga
About The Position
BrightStar Care is seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide one-on-one care for clients throughout Eastside Cuyahoga County. This role offers flexible shift options, including 4- to 12-hour shifts for morning, afternoon, evening, overnight, and weekend availability. We offer part-time, full-time, and PRN opportunities. The ideal candidate enjoys building meaningful relationships, helping clients remain safe and independent at home, and making a difference every day. Candidates must be available to work in Strongsville and Berea as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least one year of caregiving, home care, assisted living, or direct care experience preferred
- HHA, STNA, CNA, or Nursing Assistant training preferred
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray required
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining client confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
- Prepare meals and provide medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Observe and report changes in client condition
- Follow each client's individualized plan of care
