About The Position

Brandywine Living at Mahwah by Monarch Communities is seeking a Full Time Caregiver (HHA/CNA) to assist residents in all aspects of their daily life as indicated in the resident’s care plan. This includes personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and activities. The role involves maintaining the safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents, encouraging their participation in meals and activities, and documenting all services provided. The caregiver will also monitor and report any changes in resident condition immediately to their supervisor and ensure compliance with all regulations and community policies. This position requires the ability to use electronic documentation devices safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aid.
  • Able to speak, read and write in English.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year resident care experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with the elderly population, preferred dementia experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide resident care including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding as outlined in their care plan.
  • Respect the needs of team members and residents by adhering to schedule and documenting attendance properly.
  • Maintain the safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents.
  • Encourage and escort residents to meals and activities.
  • Ensure all assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed, groomed, safe, and fed during assigned shifts.
  • Document all services provided in ALIS EHR for assigned residents during the shift.
  • Monitor and report any change of condition in a resident immediately to the supervisor.
  • Appropriately utilize and keep electronic documentation devices safe and secure.
  • Participate in and attend all in-service trainings as scheduled.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures.
  • Provide basic housekeeping and/or laundry services when needed.
  • Obtain weights and vitals of residents and document same per RN request.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, RN, and/or ED.
