About The Position

Join our team at Right at Home as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide (HHA) and use your patience, compassion, and communication skills to make a difference in the lives of seniors. We serve the towns of Englewood, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, and limited zip codes in North Port and Arcadia.

Requirements

• 18+ years of age
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• A valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• High school diploma or GED
• Must pass drug screening
• Pass a full employment background check

• Honest, energetic, and approachable; able to get along and communicate easily with people, especially the elderly.
• Takes real pride in their work; able to cope well under pressure and thrive on a challenge.
• Willingness to assist with personal care and household chores.

Responsibilities

• Assisting your client with eating, personal hygiene, dressing, shaving.
• Helping them with light housekeeping, laundry, and other household chores.
• Prepare a good meal and know your way around a kitchen.
• Medication reminders, going through prescribed range of motion exercises, dementia care, and companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
