About The Position

GOLDEN CARE IS HIRING TOP CAREGIVERS TO JOIN OUR GROWING TEAM!!! We have caregiver positions open all over San Diego County. We offer competitive pay, starting at $19/hr and up — will be determined by applicants experience, availability, and distance willing to travel to shifts. We also offer paid training, insurance benefits to qualifying caregivers, flexible hours based on your availability, and so much more. Requirements

  • MUST have at least 3 months of professional experience working as a caregiver
  • MUST be, or willing to register as a California Home Care Aide (HCA)
  • MUST be able to clear a criminal background check by the DOJ/FBI
  • MUST have a current Negative Tuberculosis (TB) test (or willingness to complete one)
  • MUST obtain a valid Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle
  • MUST be 18 years of age or older
  • MUST be able to provide 2 forms of ID such as a Driver's license, social security, Passport, and or Birth certificate

Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Providing clients with Alzheimer’s/Dementia or related behaviors (i.e., wandering, paranoia) a safe and secure environment by monitoring their health and safety, as it is a priority.
  • Assist clients with all their ADL’s (Activates of Daily Living) in accordance with individualized care plans (i.e., personal hygiene assistance — oral care, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, bathing, dressing, etc.)
  • Light housekeeping, laundry, and organizing to maintain a clean-living environment.
  • Meal preparation and assist with feeding if needed.
  • Transferring & Ambulation — provide safety, stability and support while client is mobile and during transfers.
  • Transportation (i.e., appointments, grocery shopping, errands, outings, etc.)
  • Follow clients’ provided plan of care, safety precautions and procedures.
  • Monitor, observe and report suspected concerns or change of clients' condition or health status to a supervisor or the appropriate parties immediately.
  • Communicate effectively and respond to all forms of communication from the office in a timely manner.
