About The Position

Right at Home is seeking compassionate and reliable Caregivers to join their team. This role involves providing non-medical home care services to seniors, helping them maintain independence in their own homes. The agency serves various areas including Sacramento, West, North and South Sacramento, Natomas, Woodland, and Davis. They are looking for individuals with experience in Dementia, Hospice, Incontinence, Transfers (Hoyer, Gait, Slide Board). The position requires the caregiver to have their own vehicle for client transportation, a valid driver's license, and vehicle insurance. The agency offers flexible scheduling with needs throughout the week, including AM/PM and NOC shifts.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
Must possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check.
HCA Registration (assistance provided at offer of employment).
TB Skin test (completed TB test not older than 90 days is acceptable).

Responsibilities

Performs personal care activities of daily living, including assisting with dressing and grooming.
Assists with ambulation and transfers.
Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions.
Accompanies clients on errands or medical appointments.
Performs light housekeeping activities.
Provides medication reminders.
Cares for bed-bound clients.
Uses lifting equipment such as Gait Belts, Slide Boards, and Hoyer Lifts.
Provides companionship.
