About The Position
As a member of our team, your role of Caregiver/Direct Care will involve supervising and directly training patients with brain injuries in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and therapeutic home programs. You'll be working in a beautiful residential apartment/home-like setting, offering skilled instruction and supervision to patients. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to engage in social, recreational, shopping, and entertainment activities in community settings.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License: With an acceptable driving record
- Successful completion of a drug screen, health screen, and criminal record check (fingerprints) for caregiver positions.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, meals, medication reminders, and household tasks)
- Teach and support independence skills
- Document client progress and activities
- Accompany clients on community outings, shopping trips, and recreational activities
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment
Benefits
- Competitive Pay: Caregiver starting wage of $19.00/hr.
- Opportunity to earn up to $21.25/hr. within six months through our continuing education program.
- $1/hr. shift differential for those regularly scheduled to work the 3pm – 11:30pm shift.
