About The Position
AmanaCare provides non-medical in-home assistance to seniors and people with disabilities. The Caregiver Companion provides hands-on, personalized support and companionship in clients’ homes, serving as a steady presence in their daily lives. The role is intended for caring, dependable people who want meaningful work; prior healthcare experience is not required. Flexible schedules are available.
Requirements
- Be at least 19 years old.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Reside in Nebraska.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in residential care or work as a CNA, medication aide, case worker, paraprofessional, registered behavior technician, or direct support professional.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one companionship.
- Prepare meals.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Give medication reminders.
- Assist with bathing and dressing.
- Run errands and provide transportation.
- Assist with transferring and mobility.
- Provide pet assistance.
