About The Position

Responsible for the hands-on delivery of care and assistance with activities of daily living for all residents. Provides care that meets or exceeds expectations.

Requirements

Must possess a current Food Handler's Permit.
Willingness to work with the elderly
Must possess a current certification for First Aid and CPR
Have the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and associates.
Level II Assisted Living caregivers must possess a current CNA license or obtain one within 4 months of hire.
Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by the RCC, Nurse, or Administrator.
Must have a recent TB test or obtain within two weeks of hire.
Ability to read or write English and communication effectively with residents, family members and staff.
Ability to read and understand facility policies and comply with them while on job.
They should at all times represent the epitome of SAL Management's "Super Caregiver".
Exposure to blood/bodily fluids is likely
Has ability to do occasional heavy lifting of residents (up to 40 lbs.)

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, cooking, incontinence, cleaning, medication administration, laundry, and oral care.
Maintain the dignity and privacy of all residents. Protect all residents' rights.
Assist residents with personal needs as requested, while helping to maintain the resident's independence and well-being.
Document appropriately the services delivered to residents and any significant changes in condition.
Report any concerns with the health and well-being to the Resident Care Coordinator, Nurse, or Administrator.
Maintain and protect the confidentiality of resident information at all times.
Meet or exceed the standards of appearance; comply with the sanitation rules, hygiene, and health standards of community personnel.
Ability to function independently
At times responsible for cooking, cleaning, and serving meals.
Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor.
