About The Position
Homecare By Design is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide personalized, non-medical care to seniors in Lafayette and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible schedules and a supportive environment where caregivers are valued. This position focuses on making a real difference in clients' lives by offering care with a 1:1 resident-to-caregiver ratio, building meaningful relationships, and bringing joy to seniors.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of caregiving experience (required)
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- A valid driver’s license (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical care, including light housekeeping, meal prep, and assistance with grooming
- Offer stand-by assistance with daily living activities
- Provide medication reminders and personal care assistance
- Build lasting relationships with clients through companionship
- Offer transitional care when needed
