Instruct students in CTE Clinical Health Careers curriculum. Implement and manage an approved Career & Technical Education Health Science program in alignment with Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (ODEW) standards. Assist administration in implementing procedures and rules governing student conduct; develop reasonable classroom rules and maintain a fair and orderly learning environment. Demonstrate strong content knowledge and utilize varied instructional strategies and technology appropriate to diverse learners. Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect equipment, materials, supplies, and clinical facilities. Act as teacher, facilitator, and content expert in the assigned health science specialty. Identify student needs and collaborate with counselors and professional staff to support students academically, socially, and emotionally. Instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated, including supervision of clinical and work-based learning experiences. Counsel and communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress, expectations, credentials, and career pathways. Maintain working relationships with healthcare providers, long-term care facilities, hospitals, clinics, and community partners to support clinical placements and work-based learning. Ensure accurate collection, documentation, and submission of required CTE reports, credential data, WBL agreements, and compliance materials. Coordinate and supervise clinical experiences. Participate in advisory committee meetings and maintain engagement with professional healthcare business partners. Supervise CTE student organization (CTSO) activities (e.g., HOSA), as applicable.
