About The Position

Career Program Specialists focus on three key responsibilities: Developing and leading exciting, career-enhancing programming (e.g. workshops and special events), Collaborating with the Director and development staff to cultivate and manage career partnerships, and Connecting Scholars and alumni to resources that allow them to access a range of career development services, including internship and job search support, skill building, and ongoing career guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Strong organizational and time-management skills and ability to multi-task
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Willing and able to travel
• Must be enthusiastic, possess a strong work ethic, be able to work independently and with a team and serve as a positive role model for Posse Scholars
• Demonstrated belief in Posse’s mission and values

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with youth strongly preferred
• Experience working in corporate settings is a plus
• Experience managing volunteers a plus
• Experience facilitating workshops preferred
• Event planning experience preferred
• Database management skills strongly desired, i.e., Salesforce
• Graduate degree a plus
