About The Position

Responsible for providing employment/vocational services to consumers. Assesses barriers to employment and coordinates consumer’s Individual Career/Financial Plans with the case management team, thereby enabling them to become self-sufficient. Provides coaching to consumers on appropriate workplace behavior and job readiness skills though an organized, blended-learning classroom model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, Business Education, Social Science, or minimum of five years’ experience in field of vocational rehabilitation or job development.
  • Experience in the field may be substituted for Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Involvement in implementation and development of training programs for adults with disabling and disadvantaging conditions.
  • Employee must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider.
  • Employee must use own vehicle for travel within the GESMV service area; must have and maintain a reliable source of transportation.
  • Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.

  • Leading candidates will have a strong background in instructing, vocational rehabilitation, vocational assessment, and job placement services.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for adherence of all requirements related to specific funding sources. This includes maintaining necessary records, submitting weekly reports as required, and providing input to referral sources regarding individual placement progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely consumer records utilizing Salesforce case management system.
  • Provide coaching to consumers on appropriate workplace behaviors and job readiness skills through an organized, blended-learning classroom setting.
  • Maintain curricula and materials for job search and job readiness classes.
  • Identify potential barriers to employment which consumers may face and coordinates with case management team to implement a plan to overcome those barriers.
  • Provide comprehensive assessments, job seeking skills, career counseling, exploration and job development to consumers.
  • Initiate contact with prospective employers to determine personnel needs and arrange interviews for consumers.
  • Ensure that paperwork is in compliance with GESMV guidelines and regulations.
  • Meet or exceed individual and departmental program goals as established with supervisor.
  • Ensure consumer’s continued success by performing routine retention visits in accordance with contractual guidelines and assist consumer with the removal of any barriers that may prevent them from maintaining their employment.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all agency policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout work areas and maintains same to meet CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor, and other regulatory standards.
