About The Position

Arcosa Lightweight is seeking a Career Control/Process Operator for its Livingston, Alabama plant. The operator works on swing shift in a continuous production and processing operation, monitoring production flow and maintaining production conditions such as temperature and process speed. The role includes operating production machinery and related equipment, monitoring process controls, reporting abnormalities, making minor equipment adjustments and repairs, and supporting safety and training practices. Work may involve outdoor tasks in varied weather and operating mobile equipment.

Requirements

Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance.
Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, and climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
Ability to work in varied outdoor environments, including cold, hot, dry, dusty, and rainy conditions.
On-the-job training.
Ability to operate a front-end loader.
Ability to operate a Bobcat.
Ability to operate a dump truck.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

Comply with industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
Provide guidance to less experienced operators.
Monitor production flow.
Maintain production through proper temperature, process speed, and other process conditions.
Set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production or processing operation.
Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production and process specifications.
Report malfunctions or abnormalities and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.
Follow safety rules and practices and perform work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Remove logs from the cooler.
Perform other duties as assigned.
