The Career Consultant's primary function is to engage people with disabilities in exploration, planning and learning around career development in order to facilitate effective talent-matching and employment outcomes. Assisting clientele in the identification of job targets and education/training options are integral duties. The Career Consultant position is teamed with the CAES Diversity and Engagement Consultant position to facilitate outcomes in workplace diversity and inclusion. Caseload management and community education are ongoing elements of this position. The Career Consultant will be passionate about diversity and inclusion in the workplace; demonstrate strong advocacy skills; and provide positive coaching to both clients and potential employers. They will possess a self-starting attitude and creative thinking to utilize existing supports and community resources to mitigate employment barriers. This role typically works Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm out of the main CASS office; however, will require flexibility in working evenings and weekends when necessary to meet the needs of the clients.
