About The Position

Provide career development guidance for clients with an emphasis on healthcare and/or manufacturing. This role involves assisting clients with career exploration, recruitment for technical programs, conducting workshops, and building relationships with employers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Recent experience working with students and career exploration
• Experience with business and industry, mentor training, and/or student placement in job sites
• An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
• Experience in MS Office Word, Excel, Microsoft Office
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a mentoring/advising role
• Comfortable with speaking and communicating advice, ideas, and feedback
• Ability to recognize weaknesses and develop plans to aid in personal and career growth
• Knowledge of workforce or industry trends in Central Ohio is highly recommended

Responsibilities

• Providing career development guidance for clients with an emphasis on healthcare, technology skills, and advanced manufacturing
• Planning and implementing student recruitment activities for technical programs
• Assisting prospective clients with career exploration activities and career assessments
• Conducting workshops or seminars on career development topics such as job hunting, career transitioning, and personal branding
• Building relationships with employers and industry professionals to facilitate networking opportunities for clients
• Participating in all staff meetings
• Sending bi-weekly reports to the Admissions Coordinator
• Responsible for the upkeep of the database
• Responsible for upkeep of files
