Join the Vail Health Patient Care Unit and become an essential part of a collaborative team dedicated to exceptional patient care in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. As our 38-bed Patient Care Unit—the largest inpatient unit in the hospital—you'll care for a diverse population of medical and surgical patients of all ages, supporting both local community members and visitors from around the world. Every shift brings new experiences, opportunities to learn, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Care Technicians are valued members of our interdisciplinary team, working side-by-side with nurses, providers, therapists, and other caregivers to deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. From assisting with mobility and activities of daily living to monitoring patients and supporting bedside care, you'll play a vital role in every patient's hospital experience. Our collaborative staffing model includes an unencumbered charge nurse, ensuring caregivers have consistent support, guidance, and resources throughout every shift. Engaged leadership is available 24/7 to help you succeed and continue growing in your role. The Care Technician performs patient care in support of the rest of the care team. Often is the first point-of-contact for the patient and the one who is available for regular check-in with the patient. This role is important in relaying information between the patient and the provider.
