About The Position

This is a 75% FTE position for a Care Team Leader (CTL) in Pediatric Intermediate/Complex Care at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI. The role involves evening/night shifts, including weekends and holidays, with hours that may vary based on operational needs. The CTL will motivate and lead nursing staff, collaborate with an interprofessional team, analyze and resolve problems, and mentor staff for professional growth.

Requirements

Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact
Current CPR/BLS certification
Peds Universal Care- PALS within 180 Days
2 years experience in an inpatient unit
2 years of combined work experience and leadership experience may be considered in lieu of two (2) years’ experience in an inpatient unit

Nice To Haves

Baccalaureate degree in nursing
3 years experience in an acute care inpatient unit
Relevant RN experience with department-specific patient population
National certification in relevant specialty

Responsibilities

Motivate and lead nursing staff while working in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
Analyze and resolve problems that fall outside the domain of the nurse clinician and collaborate with other departments and care providers.
Mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills.
