About The Position

Supports the care team by performing basic patient cares and non-clinical functions such as: Order entry, form completion, prior authorization, panel management, faxing, equipment cleaning, room cleaning/stocking, monitoring supply inventory/expiration dates, and other duties as assigned. Functions as a team member and displays professionalism while interacting with patients, families and co-workers. Demonstrates strong organizational skills, initiative, proficiency, and good judgment to optimize the use of the care team's time and maintain a smooth work flow. Exhibits appropriate use of telecommunications equipment and uses computer efficiently. Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality and excellence are important components of this role. Maintains regulatory requirements and follows system policies, procedures and standards. Our mission: We are dedicated to promoting the health and meeting the healthcare needs of our patients. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One year of customer service experience
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Must be adaptable to a changing environment
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant, certification preferred
  • Knowledge of Pharmacology principles preferred
  • Prior experience in health care/medical office preferred
  • Working knowledge of an Electronic Medical Record preferred
