Job Summary Location: Downers Grove for 90 day training and as needed for continued training Full Time: 40 Hours Hours: Monday through Friday between 8:00a - 5:00p Under the Direction of the Department Supervisor and/or Manager, this position is responsible for accurate and timely patient scheduling and registration. Provides efficient, effective, quality customer service through a variety of duties including, but not limited to: Appointment scheduling; the collection and entry of patient demographics, and verification of coverage. Maintains the strictest patient confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines. Responsible for the accurate, timely, and comprehensive registration and insurance verification of Duly health and Care patients. The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $20 - $22 with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Requirements

  • Accurate and timely patient scheduling and registration.
  • Efficient, effective, quality customer service.
  • Collection and entry of patient demographics.
  • Verification of coverage.
  • Maintains the strictest patient confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines.
  • Accurate, timely, and comprehensive registration and insurance verification of Duly health and Care patients.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules patient appointments in accordance with scheduling guidelines and policies to ensure accurate outcomes for patients and doctors.
  • Is proficient with scheduling 4-10 unique modalities/specialties
  • Transferring clinical calls to Triage when required
  • Cancels and reschedules appointments at the patient’s request
  • References scheduling guidelines and protocols to assure accurate scheduling
  • Review and updates patient demographic and insurance information as needed
  • Answers switchboard calls and transfers patients to the correct department
  • Sends afterhours physician pages for inpatient and outpatient callers
  • Answers incoming calls pleasantly and appropriately using the assigned greeting and name
  • Speak clearly and professionally
  • Wraps up each call appropriately
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining and obtaining accurate and current resource material
  • Participates in the rotation of department responsibilities and performs other projects and duties related to the organization review
