About The Position

Integrity Home Care by BAYADA has an immediate opening for a Care Supervisor to join our established Assistive Care State Programs home care team in Joplin, MO. The Care Supervisor will oversee the delivery of services and supervision of team personnel and ensures compliance with company policy and state and federal regulations. Key performance measurements for this position will be the engagement and performance of direct care staff, delivery of quality of care, departmental growth, and compliance with policy and regulation related to the Home Care programs.

Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of experience with the direct care of the elderly, disabled or infirm.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations and adapt quickly to abrupt schedule changes and to maintain objectivity in coping with the stress of working with acute, chronic, and terminally ill patients.
  • Must be mature and display a sympathetic attitude toward the elderly and disabled Consumers.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have excellent customer service and leadership skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, take initiative, and have strong time management skills.
  • Must be detailed, accurate and can multi-task.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and applicable software systems.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to perform duties assigned with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, family members, health care providers, community organizations, law enforcement, government agencies, other employees, and the general public.
  • Ability to effectively supervise, demonstrate good judgment and communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to provide reliable transportation as required by nature of position.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Acceptable pre-employment assessment results.
  • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA Home Health Care and The BAYADA Way.
  • Develop working knowledge of BAYADA’s mission, services, people, organization, policies and procedures.
  • Supervise, and provide mentoring, motivation and education to direct care staff to meet our objectives for delivery of quality services and exceptional customer experience outcomes.
  • Complete a written evaluation of each personal care aide’s (PCA) performance at least annually.
  • Provide on-site supervisory visits as necessary in the client homes.
  • Identify, research and resolve client and / or employee problems or concerns.
  • Work to ensure aides have a schedule that allows them to work their desired volume of hours per week.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment process and collaborate with recruiters on communicating client needs and onboarding and training.
  • Facilitate the delivery of quality home care services by acting as a resource for staff, referral sources, clients and internal/external customers.
  • Develop effective, professional relationships with clients; cross-refer clients and their families to other Integrity Home Care + Hospice (Integrity) services to ensure clients’ needs are met.
  • Respond quickly to emergent scheduling issues, problem solve to ensure clients’ needs are met.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Supervisor to ensure services are delivered in compliance with training and delegation standards and guidelines.
  • Develop effective, professional relationships with regulatory entities, such as the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) and effectively communicate changes in client conditions, unmet needs, schedules, and demographic information.
  • Monitor the provision of authorized services to ensure that services are delivered in accordance with the services authorized by the appropriate state agency or its designee.
  • Recommend innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of operations and services delivered.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and company events and attend other meetings for professional and team development.
  • Represent the company in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Knowledgeable of the requirements of the Federal, State and local laws and regulations related to the provision of home care services is a plus!
  • Comply with HIPAA Policies. Maintain confidentiality of information relating to the patient and family.
  • As business needs may change, may perform additional responsibilities assigned by supervisor that are reasonably related to the position.
  • Demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in key job dimensions/attributes as defined on the Performance Appraisal for Office Staff.
  • Perform related duties, or as required or requested by supervisor.
