About The Position

The NOC Shift Care Partner provides personal care and support to elders in a senior living community. The role includes helping with daily living activities, monitoring and reporting changes in health or behavior, providing companionship and emotional support, assisting with meals, and supporting social and recreational activities. Care Partners also communicate with elders, families, team members, and guests, and may help maintain cleanliness through light housekeeping.

Requirements

• Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
• Provide licensing documentation if required by the state.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assist elders with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, including use of walkers and wheelchairs.
• Observe, document, and report changes in elders’ health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, including conversation and active listening.
• Assist elders with meals and feed those who need additional support.
• Support elders’ participation in social and recreational activities.
• Communicate with elders, their families, team members, and guests.
• Perform light housekeeping, tidying, and general cleaning as needed.
