About The Position
We are looking for someone to be an “Advocate of Empathy,” responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments. The role also requires being a “Generous Gift Giver” by being present, sharing talents, and being someone others can count on. Additionally, the position involves being “💯” by creating an inclusive and positive environment, being an “Engaged Egghead” by being curious and engaged in development, growth, and training, and being “Proactive” with assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and oral care.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and oral care.
- Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Be present and share talents.
- Create an inclusive and positive environment.
- Be engaged in your development, growth, and training within the organization.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Assist persons after a fall.
