About The Position

Care Partners assist staff and patients, helping create a safe and supportive environment. Under the direction and supervision of RN staff, they perform direct and indirect patient-care duties and complete computer charting to maintain accurate and complete patient records. This ICU position is scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and requires CNA certification or completion of the first semester of an RN program.

Requirements

• High school education required.
• BLS or CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• CNA certification or completion of the first semester of an RN program required.

Responsibilities

• Apply cardiac monitors in accordance with approved policies, procedures, and physician orders.
• Complete assigned tasks in accordance with infection-control standards.
• Document and report care delivered to patients under the direct supervision of an RN.
• Maintain professional knowledge through required orientation and competency activities, unit-based in-service programs, and clinical learning opportunities.
• Promote safety by maintaining high-fall-risk, skin-risk, and patient-specific precautions.
• Promote patient comfort and mobility through ambulation, turning, and repositioning.
• Provide direct, age-appropriate patient care under RN supervision, including assistance with activities of daily living, EKGs, finger-stick blood sugars, and bladder scans.
• Provide compassionate, holistic care to patients, families, and coworkers, supporting a safe, caring, and healing environment.
