About The Position

The Care Partner assists with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This PRN role is part of Vanderbilt University Hospital’s Inpatient Float Pool and works on an as-needed basis during the day shift, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. The role supports day-to-day patient care, safe and efficient patient flow, communication with patients and families, and unit operations. Care Partners maintain supplies, equipment, and patient-room standards. They use clinical applications for patient documentation and perform interventions such as point-of-care testing and vital signs within their competencies. Additional duties may be assigned. Requirements

Responsibilities

Serve as a liaison for communication and education regarding patient and family needs.

Perform clinical interventions such as point-of-care testing and taking vital signs within demonstrated competencies.
