Care Partner - Acute Care Surgical Stepdown Unit FT Night Shift 18:45 - 07:15
About The Position
Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse. All Candidates must attach an up-to-date resume to their application. We are seeking compassionate, patient-focused Care Partners (Nursing Assistants) who are comfortable providing hands-on care and supporting clinical procedures, including venipuncture/blood draws, Foley catheter care, specimen collection, and other bedside patient care responsibilities. Join the brand-new Acute Surgical Care Stepdown unit coming to 10N, a 31-bed stepdown unit offering a unique opportunity to help build a new team from the ground up. Nurses will provide a stepdown level of care to adult patients either awaiting surgery or recovering post-operatively. The unit features a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere. Patient Population Includes: Emergency General Surgery (EGS) Patients, Pre- and Post-Operative Surgical Patients, Trauma and Med-Surg Overflow.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) AND one of the following:
- Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (including nursing fundamentals clinical), or
- Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required), or
- Minimum of one year of recent experience (within the past two years) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician.
