The environment in The Adult Emergency Department is fast-paced, high-volume, and staff is like a family. We care for all patients who present to our department to be treated for emergent medical conditions. Our patients are unique because we never know who is going to come through our doors. One of the perks of working in my department is the opportunity to treat patients with a wide array of illnesses and injuries. We orient new staff by providing individualized orientation based on the unique needs of the staff member.
