Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Previous medical reception, scheduling and/or customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performing duties that prepare the patient for office appointments and endoscopy procedures
  • Scheduling and registration of patients for office visits, endoscopy procedures and schedules hospital procedures
  • Prepares patient registration and procedure preparation paperwork
  • Greets, assists and checks in patients for appointments and procedures
  • Answers multiple telephone lines, screens calls and forwards as needed, returns voice messages
  • Schedules and reschedules appointments and procedures
  • Coordinates hospital procedures and records with hospital staff
  • Stocks clerical supplies
  • Balances cash drawer/till
  • Collects registration data and completes logs
  • Completes insurance benefits authorization and insurance/other data entry in the medical record
