About The Position

The Care Coordinator/Physiotherapy Assistant is responsible for fostering a strong relationship between the clinic and its customers, including patients, staff, funders and referral sources. This is achieved by efficiently providing administrative support and coordinating clinic activity with friendly, enthusiastic and professional service with all patients, team members and external customers. The Care Coordinator/Physiotherapy Assistant is responsible for all aspects of patient intake, data entry, answering the phone, outbound calling, receiving faxes and emails, as well as invoicing and payments.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Physiotherapy Assistant, Kinesiology or related field
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills
  • Experience with computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to changing priorities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • EMR/Case Management systems considered an asset
  • Previous experience in a physiotherapy or multidisciplinary healthcare clinic is considered a strong asset

Responsibilities

  • Assisting physiotherapists and chiropractors with client care; including the use of ultrasound equipment, exercise programs etc.
  • Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
  • Collecting outcome measure data
  • Maintenance and cleaning/sterilization of medical equipment
  • Inventory of clinical supplies
  • Deliver a professional front-desk experience by managing calls, greeting patients, and addressing inquiries
  • Coordinate accurate patient intake and maintain up-to-date records throughout treatment
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient records efficiently
  • Collect payments at time of service and submit insurance claims to third-party funders
  • Perform data entry and billing in accordance with clinic procedures
  • Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including mail, courier, and fax
  • Provide administrative support to the Care Coordinator Manager and Clinic Director
