Care Assistant
About The Position
Join Komplex Care and deliver specialist, nurse-led complex care that enables people with lifelong clinical needs to live safely and comfortably at home. You’ll care for a young adult in Derby, working weekend hours to provide safe and consistent care in their own home. They require support with O2 monitoring, Peg, Moving and handling and personal care. Beyond their clinical needs, they enjoy going out to see various activities, and you’ll help them enjoy the things that matter most to them safely. With nurse-led oversight, individualised clinical training and the wider Komplex Group behind you, you’ll provide the standard of care you’d want for your own family. You’ll join a dedicated, nurse-led team providing hands-on care for individuals with lifelong and potentially life-critical clinical needs. This is NOT standard domiciliary care. You’ll follow detailed clinical care plans, monitor changes in the individual’s condition and perform the specialist interventions needed to keep them safe, stable and comfortable at home.
Requirements
- A full UK driving licence
- Experience in care or confidence undertaking clinical training
- Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness
- The ability to follow detailed clinical protocols consistently
- Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping
- A genuine commitment to safe, person-centred care
Responsibilities
- Providing personal care, medication and clinical interventions
- Managing tracheostomies, ventilation and specialist equipment
- Monitoring clinical observations and recognising deterioration
- Maintaining accurate records and escalating concerns immediately
