About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our weekend team in Leigh, United Kingdom. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults by providing personalized, unhurried care in their own homes during weekends. Provide personal care assistance including mobility support, bathing, and grooming Prepare nutritious meals and beverages to meet individual dietary needs and preferences Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients Offer companionship through conversation, activities, and emotional support Assist with basic health-related tasks such as medication reminders and monitoring (training provided) Support clients with light housekeeping duties and daily living activities Document care provided by using our secured password protected app Travel between client homes within the Leigh and surrounding area to provide consistent weekend coverage Respond to client needs with patience, empathy, and professionalism Follow individualized care plans and maintain confidentiality at all times

Requirements

Legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom
Valid full driving license with access to reliable personal transportation
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
Compassionate and caring personality with genuine interest in helping others
Physical capability to assist clients with mobility and personal care tasks
Strong reliability and punctuality, particularly for weekend scheduling commitments
Ability to work independently while following established care protocols
Flexibility to adapt to varying client needs and weekend schedules
Willingness to complete background checks and obtain DBS clearance
Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in home care settings

Previous care experience preferred but not required - comprehensive training provided
