About The Position

Tailchasers Arlington Pet Resort in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking a reliable, attentive, and motivated pet lover to join their team of pet caregivers. No previous experience is required, and the company provides the necessary tools for success. As a Canine Care Assistant, the role involves interacting with both human and canine guests, handling customer inquiries via phone and email, and using the Gingr computer program for dog check-ins and check-outs. The ideal candidate should be confident, passionate about pets, and capable of multitasking in fast-paced environments. Additionally, the assistant will supervise groups of dogs during playtime, ensure their safety, capture photos and videos, and assist with teaching basic obedience commands.

Requirements

• US citizen or legally authorized to work in the US
• Standing or walking, kneeling, crouching, squatting, bending, and sitting
• Able to pass a background check
• Ability to communicate with customers in a friendly manner
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
• Basic knowledge of computer/tablet functions
• 18 years of age or older
• Must be teachable, flexible, and dependable

Responsibilities

• Interacting with both our human and canine guests
• Answering customer inquiries via phone and email
• Using our computer program, Gingr, to check dogs in and out
• Overseeing groups of dogs during playtime, ensuring their safety at all times
• Capturing photos and videos of the dogs enjoying themselves throughout the day
• Assisting with teaching them basic obedience commands
