Additionally, the position requires completion of clerical tasks associated with ultrasound tests, accurate and timely recording of all testing information, prompt reporting of critical results, and maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality. Effective communication with physicians, patients, and other center personnel is essential, as is fostering a positive and informative demeanor. The role also involves contributing to teamwork, demonstrating enthusiasm, accountability, and problem-solving skills, while also mentoring and developing others. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area, including patient areas and lab environment, is crucial. This includes notifying supervisors of stocking and equipment needs, performing lab opening and closing procedures, and cleaning/maintaining equipment according to infection control policies. The position also requires identifying personal learning needs and responding to department needs, maintaining records for professional growth, attending in-services and meetings, and striving for increased proficiency. Suggestions for new, changing, or more efficient techniques, procedures, and processes are encouraged.
