About The Position

This role is for a Cardiovascular Technologist in the Cardiac Cath Labs department at Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee. The position is full-time, with day shifts. The technologist will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, monitoring them during and after, conducting diagnostic tests, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities

• Review medical histories and prepare patients for procedures by cleaning, shaving, or numbing testing sites and ensuring proper positioning.
• Observe patients before, during, and after procedures, promptly reporting any abnormal findings or changes in condition to the medical team.
• Conduct diagnostic tests, interpret results, and identify recording errors or artifacts to ensure accurate data reporting.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring all tools function correctly and following lock/tag out safety protocols for malfunctions.
