About The Position

Provides direct patient care to young adults through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicate with the physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists physician during invasive procedures. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiac Cath Laboratory team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Current CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS or RCES) or IBHRE (International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners, formerly NASPE) registration or successful completion of radiology technologist program with certification as ARRT-CI (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist – Cardiac Intervention)
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Minimum one-year previous work experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab or successful completion of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology.
  • Proficient in interpreting EKG and hemodynamic pressure tracings.
