Full time position at WDH in Dover, NH. $15,000.00 Sign on Bonus & Full Benefits. We are seeking a motivated, entry-level Cath Lab Tech I to join our growing cardiovascular team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and individuals looking to launch a career in the cardiac catheterization laboratory. We welcome candidates who have recently completed a Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology program. We also encourage applicants with a degree in Exercise Physiology or those with a strong educational background in cardiology who are eager to learn and build specialized procedural skills. Our team is committed to providing comprehensive on-the-job training in cardiac catheterization procedures, sterile techniques, hemodynamic monitoring, and patient care. Candidates will gain the hands-on experience needed to develop into a skilled Cath Lab professional. After one year of qualifying clinical experience, employees will be eligible to sit for the Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification exam, providing a clear pathway for professional growth and career advancement. Summary: As an Interventional Cardiovascular Technologist I, you will assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the catheterization/electrophysiology laboratory. You will work closely with physicians and nursing staff to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures by overseeing a variety of cardiac imaging procedures using specialized equipment and techniques to capture high-quality images of the heart during invasive cardiac interventions, as well as other direct patient care activities. You will also be responsible for preparing and stocking the lab before and after procedures, setting sterile instrument fields, and maintaining and monitoring aseptic techniques.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Radiology or Cardiovascular preferred or Bachelor's Degree Radiology preferred
  • Basic Life Support [BLS] required
  • Experience in an accredited cardiac catheterization laboratory or related field
  • 0-1 year required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and promote interdisciplinary collaborative teamwork, including in emergent situations.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relations and communication with the department and other hospital personnel.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities necessary to perform multiple diagnostic tasks.
  • Proficiency in the electronic medical record system and the hemodynamic system within 3 months.
  • Ability to identify and diagnose potential problems with patients or equipment, adapts priorities and plans independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to promote a customer/patient-oriented philosophy among all staff within the area.
  • Ability to use independent judgment, creativity, and initiative in a variety of situations when assisting with patient procedures.
  • Ability to work under extremely stressful conditions.
  • Ability to understand and operate required equipment and information systems, including, but not limited to, Mobile Aspects, Syngo dynamics, x-ray, biomedical hemodynamic system, catheter-based ultrasound, and additional modalities.
  • Physically capable of lifting (linen, supplies, patients, etc.).
  • Ability to work with adult, elderly patients, and critically ill patients.
  • Ability to work productively in emergency situations, such as cardiac and respiratory codes, and on-call situations.

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS (AHA)]
  • NH Radiologic Technologist License if Rad Tech degree graduate
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist [RCIS] - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) after 1 year

Responsibilities
