The Cardiovascular Technologist ASC will provide technical support during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, adhering to established clinical protocols and procedural standards. This role involves preparing patients for outpatient cardiovascular procedures, ensuring accurate documentation, required laboratory testing, and coordination with the cardiovascular team. The technologist will assist physicians and nursing staff in delivering safe, patient-centered care throughout cardiovascular procedures, performing patient assessment and monitoring, including vital signs, oxygen saturation, cardiac rhythms, level of consciousness, and vascular access sites. They will operate and interpret cardiovascular monitoring equipment, including hemodynamic systems, electrocardiograms (EKGs), Holter monitors, and cardiac event monitors. Additionally, the role supports procedural activities by performing scrubbing, circulating, and imaging-related duties while maintaining procedural efficiency and sterility. The technologist will respond to patient emergencies by assisting with CPR, defibrillation, cardioversion, venipuncture, and medication administration under physician supervision and within scope of practice. Patient and family education regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and follow-up care will be provided. Accurate patient records will be maintained, test results documented, significant findings communicated, and diagnostic data properly reported and archived. The position also contributes to quality improvement, staff development, customer service initiatives, and the evaluation of new procedures, technologies, and equipment.
