About The Position

Under general supervision, this role assists in performing various technical duties in the Cath Lab. Responsibilities include aseptically preparing authorization sites, transporting patients post-catheterization to their appropriate destination, and performing other ancillary duties assigned on a day-to-day basis. This position provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.

Requirements

• Must possess a level of knowledge of heart anatomy and physiology acquired through LPN with med training, a formal Medical Assistant program, or 2 years of EKG program.
• Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients, families, and physicians.
• Must have Basic Life Support experience.
• Requires 4 to 6 months on the job training in electrocardiograph interpretation, aseptic techniques, and test procedures.
